OpenManage Enterprise Tech Release is a new hardware management and monitoring console that provides a comprehensive view of the Dell EMC servers, chassis, network switches, and other third-party devices on the enterprise network. It is designed for the next generation of IT Professionals with a focus on simplicity, automation, and unification of data center management.
Comparing the old known Open Manage version installed in a Windows machine this refreshed version with new features makes reporting, inventory and firmware upgrade so much easier and appealing. For those who had the pleasure to use the old version I must say I was about time Dell to save us all that pain.
Features to love:
- HTML5 interface
- vAPP deployment. Post deploy tasks are only: EULA acceptance, password setup and IP configuration. Not bad.
- API for automation and integration. Yeah!!!!!

Large (up to 5500 managed systems)

After downloading the appliance in OFV format and deploying DellEMC OP power on the VM, open VM console and wait until boot completes.

Accept EULA
Set admin password.
Configure IP address
Browse configured IP and login using configured password for admin user
After login you see home screen with dashboard and you can go to Application settings menu to complete network configurations, security, users, email, alerts, etc.
