IBM does not provide legal, accounting or auditing advice or represent or warrant that its services or products will ensure that clients are in compliance with any law or regulation.
IBM is committed to providing clients and partners with data privacy, security and governance solutions to assist on their journey to become GDPR ready. To that end, Watson Assistant has introduced a few new capabilities.
The two main features are:
- Customer tagging
- The ability to delete a customer’s logs based on their label
Labeling Data
To be able to delete data, you will first need to label it. This can be achieved by tagging each call with a unique Customer ID for each user. This allows the end user data to be tracked with its own personal identifier.
Deleting Data
A new Delete API endpoint has been made available to respond to delete requests from end users. To delete data, simply pass Customer ID of that specific user into the Delete API endpoint.
More information on how to implement these new features can be found in IBM technical documentation.
