As 2025 quickly comes to an end, it feels like the perfect moment to look back on everything we’ve worked on this year as specialists or simply as people passionate about VMware technologies. And one meaningful way to wrap up the year is by highlighting the vExpert Program.
For me, the value of this program has always been clear:
the connections it creates and the recognition it brings within the industry.
Those two things alone make it a powerful space for professionals who enjoy learning, sharing, and being part of a broader community.
Thinking you “didn’t do enough” this year?
If you’re looking at the calendar and wondering whether you contributed enough in 2025 to apply for vExpert 2026, you’re not alone. Many people feel the same way. But here’s the reality:
You can still build a strong application starting today.
A short, focused period of contribution can be just as impactful as a full year of activity. What matters most is the quality of what you share, not the volume.
And you don’t need to reinvent yourself or take on huge commitments. Sometimes the simplest contributions have the most genuine impact:
- A helpful LinkedIn post or technical write-up
- Sharing lessons learned from a recent project
- Participating in community discussions
- Providing guidance to someone new to VMware technologies
- Joining conversations with vExperts and learning from others
These small, consistent actions show engagement, curiosity, and willingness to contribute, which are at the heart of the vExpert Program.
vExpert 2026 Application Timeline
To make things easier, here are the official dates:
- Applications Open: December 15th
- Applications Close: January 15th
- Award Announcement: On or before February 13th
This gives you a clear window to refine your contributions, organise your examples, and submit a strong application.
